Morocco: “Useless” parts removed from the administration

Moroccans have been exempt since the beginning of April from around twenty documents deemed non-essential for the administrative service, according to a circular from the Ministry of the Interior.

A total of 22 administrative certificates were withdrawn from the administrative circuit and replaced by a declaration on honor, according to a circular sent by the General Directorate of Local Authorities to the Wallis and governors of the various regions and provinces of the kingdom, as well as to the presidents of the communes.

These documents, which for the most part attest to a given situation or fact, were requested in administrative procedures when no regulatory provision actually required it. They are now replaced by declarations on the honor. This is for example the marriage certificate, the individual life certificate, the collective life certificate, or the single marriage certificate, the polygamy certificate, etc.

In the wake of the decision to remove rooms, the administration launched a unified, integrated, multi-space information interface that makes administrative information available to the user. This reform falls within the framework of a policy of facilitation of administrative procedures.
