The kingdom of Morocco has its new prince. At least football. This is the young FUS midfielder from Rabat, El Mehdi Mubarik (20), has achieved a good U20 African Cup of Nations with the Atlas Cubs. Author of 2 goals in 3 games played, he is the lungs of this Moroccan team which finished first in its group C, ahead of Ghana. She is the best defense in this competition with 0 goals conceded in the group stage.

El Mehdi Mubarik, is certainly one of the big satisfactions on the Moroccan side in this 22nd edition of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations. A defensive midfielder capable of recovering many balls and throwing cleanly towards his teammates. But, he also showed his talent as a scorer in this competition, with two penalties converted against Gambia and Tanzania, a success of 100%. In fact, he finished “man of the match” on Matchday 1, after the Moroccan victory over the Scorpions juniors of Gambia.

Very technical, with a good vision of the game, El Mehdi Mubarik is a box to box midfielder. He is at the heart of the Moroccan game and impresses his world at every meeting, to such an extent that many Moroccans dream of seeing him very soon in the group of the Atlas Lions, in perspective of the qualifiers of CAN 2022. But, he currently competing with the U20s and we should let him focus more, since Morocco dreams of winning the trophy again.
