Morocco has received advanced Israeli missile defense systems. This reception follows an agreement signed between Rabat and Tel Aviv last year.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense has announced that Morocco has received a set of Israeli defensive weapons systems. This acquisition was the subject of the signing of a bilateral agreement between the two countries during the visit of the Israeli Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz to Rabat last November. Israel had given Morocco carte blanche to acquire advanced or sophisticated military systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles and an advanced air defense system, an Israeli N12 site reported.

Thanks to the Abraham agreements, the Israeli defense industries Elbit, IAI, Rafael and others sold in 2021 for 800 million dollars worth of products and services in Morocco, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. According to the Israeli Defense Ministry, military exports to the Arab region will exceed $1 billion this year.
