An Israeli cinematographic delegation would soon go to Morocco, with a view to preparing joint cinematographic productions.

The Dakhla Film Commission and the Rabat Arthouse Film Festival held a meeting with representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports, within the framework of the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, with a view to examining ways of cooperation in the cinematographic field. During this meeting, emphasis was placed on the role that Morocco plays, as an open and multicultural country and as a cinematographic destination coveted by major film production companies, says a press release from the Dakhla Film Commission.

Thus, it was decided to pave the way for cooperation in the cinematographic field, in order to exchange visits and experiences in this field, the statement noted.

Similarly, the parties have agreed to establish co-productions of films, to strengthen cooperation in the field of training, and encourage participation in film festivals, underlines the same source.

Finally, it was agreed that an Israeli film delegation would soon visit Morocco, with a view to preparing joint film productions, in particular those related to the Jewish cultural component of Morocco.

The Israeli delegation consisted of the Director of the Film Department at Israel’s Ministry of Culture and Sports, Karen Carmel, the Director of Culture, Kalit Wahba Chachou, and Artistic Director, Osnat Bukofzer.
