Renewals of driver’s license and registration certificate should now not exceed three months after expiration.
It is an announcement from the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water in accordance with the regulatory provisions which set the period of validity of said media at 10 years and the provisions of articles 38 and 58 of Law 116 -14 amending and supplementing Law 52-05 on the Highway Code.
The driver’s license supports and registration certificates issued before October 1, 2010, the date of entry into force of the Highway Code, as far as they are concerned will complete the ten years on September 20, 2020. They will therefore remain valid. until December 31, 2020. It should be noted that around 910,000 driver’s license documents and registration certificates are to be renewed from October 1, 2020.
In order to comply with health safety instructions, as part of the fight against the spread of the coronavirus, the persons concerned must submit their renewal request through the electronic portal “Narsa Khadamat”. They must start submitting their application from Monday, October 5, 2020. Following this, the registration receipt inherent in this operation must be downloaded and sent with the required documents by post, according to the recommendations of the registration center of vehicles from their place of residence.
