The coach of Morocco was questioned this Thursday at a press conference on certain players with dual nationality, but who do not wish, for the moment, to play for Morocco.
An annoying situation for Vahid Halilhodzic when making choices: “Boys, I know their mentality. There are still players who refused to play for Morocco. Some have a lot of talent, but how to discuss with players uprooted from the country and who have agents who prevent discussions. You can’t even argue with these young players. They are in the hands of foreign agents who do everything so that the player does not represent Morocco. Everyone around them is like that. We must form a cell to discuss with them.”
In addition to some dual nationals, Vahid Halilhodzic recently had to face the withdrawal of two Moroccan internationals, while the national team will face DR Congo in the 2022 World Cup play-offs on March 25 and 29.
