Morocco – Canada: Signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Université de Moncton and the MAScIR foundation

The Canadian University of Moncton and the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MAScIR) signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to promote cooperation and the advancement of scientific and research exchanges.

This agreement was signed by the rector and vice-chancellor of the Université de Moncton, Denis Prud’homme and the director general of MASclR, Nawal Chraibi, during a virtual ceremony attended by the ambassadors of Morocco in Ottawa. , Souriya Otmani and from Canada in Rabat, Nell Stewart.

The two partners agreed in particular to carry out joint activities relating to scientific research and development, the exchange of academic visits by researchers and the joint organization of international conferences and seminars.

This five-year memorandum of understanding entered into force upon signature.

In a special address, Souriya Otmani affirmed that this kind of international partnership, which covers various forms of collaboration in scientific research and development, contributes to consolidate through its content “cultural and scientific cooperation between Morocco and Canada, which is already considerable ”.
