The Royal Air Forces (FRA) have just reinforced their armada. The Kingdom has, in fact, acquired several helicopters from the French manufacturer, Airbus.

The FRA has thus acquired several H135s type machines, according to Airbus. Arnaud Montalvo, General Manager for the MENA region of Airbus Helicopters declared: “The choice of the FRAs for their training missions is a source of pride”. And to add: “We are sure that our H135s will be a major asset for their fleet. We look forward to providing them with the best support, together with our strategic partner Heliconia, after it enters service in the country.”

Beyond the acquisition of these machines and technical assistance, the deal concerns the training of pilots and technicians. It should be noted that these helicopters cost 5.7 million dollars each (60 Mdh), and offer a range of 562 km. They can accommodate 7 people (2 pilots and 5 passengers).

In details, according to the explanations of the manufacturer, this twin-engine helicopter can perform different missions and can land almost anywhere, especially in high temperature and hot conditions, while carrying a larger payload on longer distances than other rotorcraft in its class.
