Although the health crisis linked to covid-19 continues to impact the labor market, employment opportunities in Algeria have increased during the year 2021.
This is revealed by the results of a joint study carried out by the online recruitment platform Emploitic and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Caci).
In detail, the recruitment platform indicates that in 2021, a year which ” confirms the extent of the health crisis and its systemic nature impacting the majority of economic activities “, the number of job offers published on its site has increased. recorded an increase of +29%: 26,900 job offers were published on Emploitic.com in 2021 compared to 20,700 job offers published in 2020.
The professions in demand
The same source notes that for companies, the highest priority was to preserve jobs and maintain their workforce.
“Even if 64% of the companies questioned through this survey say they are strongly impacted by the health crisis, 33% of them have planned to recruit”, notes the study.
As for the list of sectors that recruit the most on the online platform, on the first step of the podium is the Industry sector with 31% of the total job offers published on Emploitic.com, followed by the service sector and that of trade and distribution with respectively 25% and 14% of all the opportunities displayed.
With regard to the most sought-after profiles, out of all the job offers posted on the recruitment site, more than 9,451 targeted jobseekers without professional experience or beginners, i.e. almost a third of the opportunities posted, while 11,800 opportunities targeted experienced job seekers, with between three and five years of experience, and 4,035 targeted those with experience between six and ten years, the same source indicates.
The survey also reveals that a third of the job offers posted on Emploitic were intended for commercial-sales trades, ie 31% of the most posted trades on the site. Followed by industry trades with 25%. The administration and finance professions represent respectively 14% and 11% of the most advertised professions on the recruitment platform.
