Dozens of people held a sit-in on Friday in front of Parliament in Rabat to denounce the Israeli strikes carried out since Tuesday in the Gaza Strip.

Several slogans were chanted by the demonstrators, calling for mediation at the international level to put an end to this conflagration.

Recall that 33 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others injured in these strikes, according to a new report established Friday by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. International calls are increasing to end this escalation, the most serious since August 2022 between armed movements in Gaza and Israel.

The violence began on Tuesday with Israeli strikes targeting Islamic Jihad, a Palestinian group classified as a “terrorist organization” by Israel, the European Union and the United States. On Friday, a sixth military leader of this movement was killed in an Israeli strike on an inhabited area in the center of the Gaza Strip, announced a spokesman for Jihad.
