Indonesian Embassy in Algeria Launches “Indonesian Week”

As part of the commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian Embassy in Algiers in collaboration with the Radisson Blu Hotel, Algiers, is organizing the “Indonesia Week 2021” on the theme Travels in Indonesia, from September 19 to 23, 2021 at 12:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Indonesia Week 2021 will be held over 5 (five) days with the main activities:

1. Indonesian Food Festival: Presentation of a variety of Indonesian dishes combined with local food for lunch and dinner daily inviting all stakeholders. In addition, there will also be a cooking demonstration by Indomie.

2. Flashback photo exhibition on Indonesia’s relations with Algeria and photos of tourist destinations in Indonesia.

3. The “Integrated Indonesia” Stands will present various high-quality products likely to be marketed in Algeria, involving the Indonesian public enterprises (BUMN) in Algeria, namely Pertamina and PT. Wijaya Karya.

4. Introducing Indonesian cultural diversity throughout Indonesia Week 2021, including traditional dance and music.

This activity should be able to further promote the image of Indonesia in Algeria, especially in the socio-cultural field, including “interpersonal contact”, given that Indonesia and Algeria already have a very close relationship and solid that existed since well before the independence of Algeria in 1962.

All these series of activities for Indonesia Week 2021 is fully framed by a strict health protocol, in particular the limitation of the number of invitations or social distancing, and the use of masks in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the Government. Algerian.
