Sup’Com CyberSecurity Club announces the 8th edition of Hackfest, a national cybersecurity competition, which will take place on April 20 and 21, 2024 at the El Ghazela technology center, in Ariana, north of Tunis.

An event dedicated to the promotion of cybersecurity and the exchange of knowledge in the field, Hackfest seeks to highlight Tunisian skills in the field of cybersecurity and to position Tunisia as a competitive technological destination.

The enthusiasm for cybersecurity among Tunisian students has been demonstrated through previous editions of Hackfest. Last year, no less than 25 teams, bringing together more than 100 challengers and more than 150 participants from various public and private establishments, took part in the event. This record attendance demonstrates the growing interest in cybersecurity in our country and underlines its importance in the Tunisian educational and professional landscape.

Hackfest is open to anyone interested in the field of cybersecurity and wants to learn. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, a student or a professional, you will be welcomed for an enriching experience where you will learn about the latest advances in the field. It is also an opportunity for networking and sharing experiences. The program includes high-level conferences given by globally recognized experts, practical workshops, a session dedicated to children, and challenges allowing immersion in the latest trends and best practices in cybersecurity.

Hackfest also hosts Capture The Flag (CTF), a competition where participants compete in a series of stimulating challenges, testing their skills in ethical hacking, cryptography, and reverse engineering, among other aspects of cybersecurity. Everyone searches for vulnerabilities, solves difficult puzzles, and recovers “flags” carefully hidden within systems and applications.

This competition aims to push the limits of participants, testing not only their technical skills but also their ability to think strategically and work as a team.

The Hackfest will take place in two stages: an online qualifying round, on March 22 and 23, allowing teams to demonstrate their expertise and qualify for the final; the best-performing teams will then be invited to the final, on April 20 and 21 at the El-Ghazela technology park.

Students who are passionate about IT security are strongly encouraged to participate in this unique experience and take on the challenges of Hackfest. This will be the perfect opportunity to showcase their skills, tackle real-world problems, and connect with renowned professionals in the field of cybersecurity.

The Hackfest organizing committee is made up of members of the Sup’Com CyberSecurity Club office, cybersecurity researchers, and former Sup’Com graduates who have acquired professional experience in the field.
