France, the Gulf countries and Canada have until now been the favorite destinations for Tunisian brains.

From January to October 2022, 5,474 Tunisians were able to obtain a visa to work in Germany, almost double the number in 2020. This is due to the absence of quotas in the granting of visas and the fact that diplomas Tunisians are recognized in the country.

Narjes Rahmani, director of a migration agency, told AFP that Germany, which has very low fertility rates, “has huge labor needs, not only in health or information technology, but also in hotels, restaurants, and construction”.

Some German employers in sectors where there is a significant shortage offer those who wish to immigrate to this country significant facilities and privileges, going so far as to grant them pre-contracts to obtain an immediate visa as well as the financing of their learning German for six months in Tunisia.
