Despite the dismissal of the Minister of Transport and the surprise cancellation of the launch of ticket sales by Air Algérie, the new flight program has not been called into question. This seems to be confirmed by Abdelouahab Yagoubi, deputy of the Algerians of France.

The elected official claims to have exchanged with Air Algérie about the sale of tickets for the new program from French airports. “Air Algérie is awaiting the agreement of the French civil aviation directorate, DGAC, concerning its new flight program,” he wrote in a publication on his official page.

The agreement should be reached very quickly. “Imminent agreement from the Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile (DGAC) in Paris, concerning new flight plans serving French airports. Immediately, it would be possible to book online on the Air Algérie website and with agencies,” adds Abdelouabah Yagoubi.

Flights France – Algeria: the question of prices comes back

The new flight schedule, announced Wednesday evening, comes into effect on March 15. Foreign airlines will benefit from the same quota as Air Algérie, ie 108 new flights per week, all companies and all destinations combined.

The deputy of the Algerians of France promises to tackle the problem of the prices of plane tickets. “After overcoming the flight shortage crisis that was caused by arbitrary administrative restrictions imposed on millions of Algerians, we will deal with the issue of ticket prices by referring to international standards and irrefutable arguments of extortion and blackmail, then we will deal with the issue of improving the quality of services,” he wrote.

Currently, you have to pay at least €600 for a one-way ticket between France and Algeria. The launch of the new program should make it possible to reduce the prices charged by the airlines.
