Indeed, the National Commission for the Observation of the Lunar Crescent of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs (MARW) announced the date of the night of doubt. The one dedicated to the observation of the lunar crescent of the month of Choual 1443 AH. This announcement comes in addition to the fixing of the first day of Eid El Fitr 2022 in Algeria.
In detail, Youcef Belmehdi’s department published a press release on his Facebook page. In the latter, it was announced that the night of doubt for the determination of the first day of Eid El Fitr for the year 2022 will take place on Saturday, April 30. Moreover, the same source added that a conference dedicated to this occasion will be organized after the Maghreb prayer. This at Dar El Imam in El Mohammadia, Algiers.
In addition, the national audiovisual media will ensure the live transmission of the conference in question. In addition, Eid El Fitr should fall this year on Monday, May 2, 2022, in many Muslim countries and in Europe. It is in any case according to the astronomical calculations concerning the observation of the lunar crescent published by several associations.
The date of the night of doubt in France
This year, the month of Ramadan in France began on Saturday April 2, 2022. This is one of the five pillars of Islam which ends with the feast of Aïd El Fitr . The first estimates also indicate that Eid El Fitr should coincide with Monday, May 2, 2022. The night of doubt will confirm this date on the 29th day of Ramadan.
