In Rabat, several citizens expressed their anger because of the high cost of sheep. A woman indicated that households with limited incomes will be unable to obtain sheep for Eid al-Adha, stressing that goats are very expensive this year, compared to those of previous seasons.

“Contrary to what has been put forward by the government, no sheep costs 800 or 1000 dirhams”, lamented a customer.

Another specified that the “kessabas” did not hesitate to add 1,000 dirhams to the price of each animal intended for slaughter. “The state must intervene. Several families had to turn back and were unable to buy sheep because of these exorbitant prices,” he protested.

Recall that Eid Al Adha will be celebrated on Sunday, July 10, announced the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs.
