The health restrictions, in force since January 12, 2022, to fight against the new epidemic wave in Tunisia, will be maintained for the next two weeks, the Presidency of the government said on Wednesday.

In a press release, the Presidency of the government indicated that following the meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the seat of government in the Kasbah, on January 25, 2022, on the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the country, and in accordance with the recommendations of the Scientific Committee for the fight against coronavirus, it has been decided to extend by two weeks the measures adopted by the government on January 12, 2022, to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

These measures concern the prohibition of all gatherings in public and private places, closed or open, and the imposition of a night curfew, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

It is also a question of strictly respecting preventive measures, in particular with regard to wearing a mask, physical distancing, ventilation of enclosed spaces, and encouraging remote work.
