Morocco has just updated its health protocol for international travel by establishing a C list of countries whose travelers are prohibited from entering Moroccan territory.

Travelers from countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter Morocco, either by direct flights or with transit. Also, children aged 6 to 11 must present a negative PCR test, regardless of the country of origin.

This update is part of the measures taken by Morocco in the face of the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in several countries and regions of the world and the appearance of a new worrying variant, called Omicron by the WHO.

According to the interministerial committee responsible for coordinating the implementation of the health system relating to international travel, these access conditions are the same for anyone aged 12 and over. Before all these measures, access to Morocco was already conditioned on the presentation of a complete anti-Covid vaccine pass, whether Moroccan or foreign, from a country on list A or list B.

A negative PCR test is also required for travelers from countries on list B. It is also necessary to present a passenger health card, undergo a double temperature control on arrival, a random control by rapid antigen test upon arrival, and strictly observe the barrier measures.
