The procedure for requesting authorization to leave the territory has just seen some relief. the interior ministry has just made a digital platform dedicated to this purpose available to citizens.

Country borders have been closed since mid-March last year. a decision that introduced new rules and new reflexes, when it comes to wanting to leave territory.

It is no longer a question of being only the holder of a visa, to be able to go abroad, it is also necessary to file an application for authorization to leave the territory, at the level of the Ministry of the Interior, in Paris .

This procedure, in addition to causing disarray among the citizens who live far from the capital, had provoked strong criticism within the parliamentarians, don some shouted at the bureaucracy.

Besides this fact, after the filing of the application, there is no document which is given to the applicant. there is therefore no acknowledgment of receipt. if the request is accepted, the authorization will also be issued by the interior ministry.

The launch of the digital platform
It is in a press release that the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, announced that it had made available to citizens a digital platform which is dedicated to the online introduction of requests exceptional authorizations to leave Algerian territory.

The ministry affirms in its press release that this new platform comes “within the framework of the facilities aiming to ensure a better handling of the requests formulated on the subject of the exceptional authorizations of exit”.

The ministry press release also specifies that the “digital platform is made available to citizens via the ministry site (www.interieur.gov.dz)”, and that this procedure will come into force from today, Friday February 18, 2021.

Finally, it is also mentioned that citizens, and after having entered their requests via the digital platform, will receive responses to their mailboxes, following the examination of their files.
