Indeed, in accordance with the Finance Law (LF) 2023, the automotive sector has experienced a resolution of its case. Following the instructions of the President of the Republic, the market will have to welcome the first cars in the first months of the year 2023. The fate of the file of the import of vehicles less than 3 years old is finally fixed.

In a statement to the press, the director of legislation, regulations, and customs systems spoke on Saturday. On the sidelines of the celebration of International Customs Day, Adel Habsa revealed the date of the effective entry of the import of used vehicles.

Indeed, in his speech, Adel Habsa raised the subject of activity related to the import of semi-new cars. The manager recalled that the Finance Law (LF) 2023 concerns an article about importing vehicles less than 3 years old. The official launch of this activity will be functional after the publication of the application text in the OJ, he said. 

“The entry into force of the import of vehicles less than three years old will take place after the publication of the implementing text in the Official Journal”, he underlined. This is by indicating that the text authorizing customs clearance for the marketing of machinery “was drawn up by the various sectors concerned”.
