Abidjan, The Ivorian Minister of Communication, Amadou Coulibaly, and the Tunisian Ministers of Communication Technologies, Nizar Ben Néji exchanged, this Monday, April 15, 2024, their experiences in the fields of communication and technologies. It was during an audience that Minister Amadou Coulibaly granted to his Tunisian counterpart, at his office in Abidjan-Plateau.

In particular, the fight against fake news (disinformation) was discussed. “We were able to benefit from the Tunisian example which placed great emphasis on the training of trainers, with the identification of the actors. Which allows a certain traceability,” declared Amadou Coulibaly. 

And to express its intention to draw inspiration from the Tunisian model to improve the 2nd phase of the Ivorian public awareness campaign for the responsible use of social networks called “Online All Responsible”.

For the Tunisian Minister, Nizar Ben Néji, this meeting was a great opportunity to discuss the advances made in the two countries in terms of communication and technologies. “What interested us most was the Ivorian government’s communication strategy to combat fake news on social networks,” he said.

Note that the meeting between the two personalities was held on the sidelines of the 4th edition of the Cyber ​​​​Africa Forum (CAF) organized on April 15 and 16, 2024 in Abidjan.
