Nine car dealers, all types combined, have obtained their final approvals until the beginning of May. The services of the Ministry of Industry are currently considering 24 other applications, including that representing the Chinese brand Chery, as well as Geely.

In all, nine car dealers of different types (tourism, motorcycle, truck and machinery) have received, until the beginning of May, their final approvals for the import of vehicles, while the services of the Ministry of ‘Industry, in charge of the file, is currently looking into around thirty applications, including those of the two Chinese brands Geely and Chery.

Thus, in addition to Fiat, JAC and Opel, which received their final approvals at the beginning of March, in terms of passenger and utility vehicles, Citroën joined the lot in mid-April. But, for now, only Fiat has started marketing its vehicles. No date has been advanced, however, by the other three dealers, even if it is said that the representatives of the Opel brand, “Halil Commerce & Industrie”, and JAC, “Emin Auto”, will launch the marketing of their vehicles in June.

As for the other segments, the five other dealers who have received their final approvals are the South Korean, Daewoo and German, Man, for trucks, the Chinese Lifan, for motorcycles and the, French, Manitou, and Chinese, Sanwood, for gear.

In addition, the services of the Ministry of Industry are currently considering about thirty other requests from dealers. Some of them, having already obtained their provisional approvals, like the Chinese Geely and Chery (passenger and utility vehicles), have even started fitting out premises for “showrooms” in several cities. from the country.
