The latter announced on his Facebook page: “Political activist Karim Tabbou was arrested this Saturday while he was traveling to Ifri-Ouzellaguen to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the Soummam Congress (August 20, 1956).

“Political opponent Karim Tabbou was arrested by the gendarmes while he was on his way to the historic headquarters that housed the Soummam Congress. He was prevented from joining the headquarters to commemorate the anniversary with the Algerians”, still according to his brother, who wonders further: “Why did you stop and prevent Karim Tabbou from commemorating the Soummam congress with the Algerians?

Another opponent, also used to Algerian jails, was arrested. This is Fethi Ghares, the coordinator of the Democratic and Social Movement, a party known for its strong positions against the regime. Moreover, many other militant personalities of the MDS were also arrested at the same time as him. these include Messaouda Cheballah and Ouahid Benhalla, as well as the former president of the APC of Ouzellaguen, Rachid Beldjoudi, according to the news site Tout sur l’Algérie , which quotes the Berber Television news channel. .
