Algeria Elected a Non-permanent Member of the UN Security Council

The official Algerian Press Agency announced that Algeria began on Tuesday, and for the fourth time in its history, its mandate as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, for a two-year term, i.e. from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025.

The Security Council is composed of 15 members, including five permanent members: China, the Russian Federation, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, and 10 members elected by the General Assembly for a two-year term:
