The airline Air Algérie will reinforce its flight program from the weekend with in particular daily rotations added between Paris and Algiers, Oran and Constantine. The Air France, Transavia or other ASL Airlines should enjoy.

Following Sunday’s announcement by the Algerian government of strengthening air links to and from the country, the national company announced a strengthened program from August 28, 2021, which will see it go from 9 to 32 flights per week. In France, daily flights to Paris-Orly will now be offered by Air Algérie from Algiers-Houari Boumediene, Oran-Ahmed ben Bella and Constantine-Mohamed Boudiaf, 24 weekly rotations to serve French airports in total. The last three rotations will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays without further details (towards Lyon this morning).

The Algerian capital will be connected to Istanbul on Thursday in addition to Sunday and to Barcelona on Friday in addition to Wednesday, Air Algerie also having to operate according to the transport ministry one flight per week to Italy (Rome on Saturday), from Germany (Frankfurt on Wednesday), Tunisia (Tunis on Friday) and Russia (Moscow on Friday).

All in “the sad respect of health requirements“, underlines Air Algérie on social networks, “the conditions of entry to the countries served as well as the flight program remaining subject to the decisions of the competent authorities of each country“. France, for example, has placed the country on its red list of countries particularly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, with travel restrictions as a result.

The ministry specified yesterday in its press release that within the framework of reciprocity, 32 flights per week will also be operated by foreign airlines “operating in Algeria” from Saturday. This morning, the local site  of Air France also indicated to Paris daily flight to Algiers, and two flights per week from Oran. Its low cost subsidiary Transavia, which now operates a rotation between Orly and Oran, has not made any announcement, nor has ASL Airlines whose program of special flights between the two countries runs until the end of September. Vueling is expected to continue connecting Marseille to Algiers.
