Agricultural Land Falling within the Domains of the State: Nearly 15,000 Farmers Given Formal Notice

Nearly 15,000 farmers were given formal notice by the services of the National Office for Agricultural Land (ONTA) for non-compliance with the specifications governing the exploitation of agricultural land in the state domain.

This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni, on Thursday during a plenary session at the APN devoted to oral questions.

Mr. Henni specified, according to the APS agency, that the ONTA services sent 14,790 formal notices to operators who had benefited from concession land and been the subject of a fine for non-compliance with the specifications relating to the exploitation of these lands.

Thus, more than 1,809 operators have complied with these formal notices by respecting the specifications, while 850 files have been transferred to the services of the State domains to begin the procedures for the administrative termination of the concession contracts, affirmed Mr. Henni answering a question from MP Ahmed Rabehi (FLN).

To date, 590 contracts have been terminated relating to farms with a total area of ​​5,500 ha, the beneficiaries of which have not complied with the regulations or the specifications relating to the exploitation of land within the domains of the State granted within the framework of the concession, he continued, affirming that the operation continues to identify the infringements and identify the unexploited lands.
