BLOEMFONTEIN (South Africa)- The Algerian swimming team won two new medals (1 gold, 1 bonze) on the fourth day of the 12th African Swimming Championships in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
The gold medal was claimed by Souad Nefissa in women’s 800m freestyle clocking 9:10.29, while the bronze of men’s 400m freestyle went to Lounis Khendriche (4:02.15).
After four days of competitions, Algeria won 11 medals overall (4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze).
The African tournament will run until 22 October with the participation of swimmers from 22 countries
