A new film club dedicated to films from and of the Maghreb and its diasporas has launched in London. Maghreb Ciné began screening films last month, showing Algerian film La Fille de Keltoum to an audience of nearly 30 people.

This week will see the film club’s second screening – Le Grand Voyage – which stars the late Mohamed Majd and which enjoyed modest success both in Europe and Morocco. Film details are below.

Maghreb Ciné aims to screen one film a month and is organised by Abdel Khairoun. A third screening is planned for 21st April.
