Moroccan Greco-Roman wrestler Ziad Ait Ougram has been crowned African champion for the third time in a row.

The 75 kilogram wrestler, who previously won gold medals in 2015 and 2016 in Egypt and Algeria, snatched another for Morocco at the African Wrestling Championship in Marrakech in late April.

The welterweight champion has become a major asset to the Moroccan wrestling team since he started representing the kingdom three years ago.

Born to Moroccan parents living in Tunisia, Ait Ougram had previously been the  African champion representing Tunisia before deciding to compete under the Moroccan flag.
