A new regular maritime line dedicated to the transport of containers will connect the port of Sfax to Spain, Morocco and Libya, from March.

The announcement was made by the representative of this new line, Malek Aloui, during a statement to the Tunis Afrique Presse Agency (TAP).

According to him, the final stages of administrative and logistical preparations are almost complete, and the official inauguration of this line is planned for the month of March.

He stressed that this new line stands out for several aspects, including competitive prices, but also for the speed of services. Travel time to Morocco is estimated at just 4 days, while the connection to Spain will take 6 days. In addition, this line will offer two services per month from Sfax.

This initiative aims to strengthen commercial links and economic exchanges between Sfax and these key destinations, thus opening new opportunities for local economic actors. Reducing transport times and competitive prices are major assets which should stimulate trade in the region and promote the economic development of Sfax.
