In the ever-changing technological landscape, an Algerian start-up is making headlines. Fintech, founded by three visionary brothers, is shaking up the codes with its innovative artificial intelligence platform. Their latest creation, Hadretna, promises to revolutionize communication in Algeria.

Based between Algiers and Paris, Fintech first became known for its optimization solutions for businesses. But it is with Hadretna that the start-up reaches a new milestone. In collaboration with Professor Merouane Debbah, an eminent researcher, the team is tackling a major challenge: the translation of Algerian dialects.

“With Hadretna, our goal is to create a linguistic link between the different dialects spoken in Algeria,” explains Professor Debbah during the presentation of the project. “It is an inclusive digital solution for the entire population,” he adds.

The site www.hadretna.ai, already online, invites Algerians to participate in this linguistic adventure. “We need everyone’s participation to supply Hadretna with translations and annotations from all regions of the country,” said Moussab Djerrab, CSO of Fentech, emphasizing the importance of this collaboration.

This initiative, supported by the Ministry of the Economy, Knowledge, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, does not just preserve cultural diversity. It aims to lay the foundations for an AI “made in Algeria”, adapted to the specific needs of the country.

While tech giants like Google or Meta dominate the global AI market, Fintech proves that innovation can also come from local players. With Hadretna, all of Algeria is joining the race for artificial intelligence.
