The High Council of State (HCE) of Libya has decided to stop the delivery of Libyan oil and gas to pro-Israeli countries, “in support of the brothers in Palestine until the liberation of their territories”.

The HCE of Libya, a sort of Senate based in Tripoli, asked, after an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, “to cut ties with the countries which support the “Zionist entity” (Israel), “by interrupting gas and oil exports (to these countries), boycotting their products and suspending relations with their ambassadors until the brutal aggression against Gaza is stopped.”

This was reported by our colleagues from Libya Observer, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, adding that the advisers discussed ways to provide and deliver urgent humanitarian and medical aid to the residents of Gaza.

HCS members called for the formation of a joint Arab-Islamic military force by Muslim countries to enter Gaza in order to protect civilians and stop the escalation of the situation at the international level, calling on the country’s Arabs to stop dealing with the Zionist entity,” reports the newspaper.

On Wednesday, Libya’s Benghazi-based parliament, elected in 2014, also threatened to stop oil and gas supplies and demand the departure of ambassadors from all states that support Israel in the event of military aggression against Gaza.
