German Parliamentarians Determined to Boost Cooperation with Tunisia

Germany and Tunisia have significant potential to establish a complementary and strategic partnership in several vital areas, such as renewable energies, manufacturing industries, and scientific research, particularly in the agricultural field.

This was stated by Christophe Hoffman, Chairman of the Bundestag’s Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development. He led a parliamentary delegation which was received, Thursday, June 9, 2022, by the Minister of Economy and Planning Samir Saïed, in the presence of the German ambassador to Tunisia.

The visit of the German parliamentarians aims to find out about the opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation and to examine the means of supporting Tunisia in view of the difficult international situation, by expressing the will of the parliamentary committee which he chairs to exert pressure to strengthen bilateral cooperation in order to establish an active partnership in the interest of both countries.
