The 55th edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA) ended on Saturday after a week of intense activities and fruitful exchanges between Algerian operators and their counterparts from more than 30 countries who participated in this event organized under the slogan “Exchange gateway, partnership and investment opportunities”.

Inaugurated last Monday by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the FIA is a new stopover that illustrates the significant progress that the locomotive of development in Algeria is experiencing, and this through national companies that have proven their skills and their ability to present modern and competitive products compared to global products in various fields.

Many companies have been able to access the world of export and actively contribute to boosting Algerian exports excluding hydrocarbons, which should reach 30 billion USD by 2030.

Visiting the FIA pavilions, the President of the Republic reiterated the State’s desire to support project leaders and industrial companies in expanding their investments, particularly in the fields of electronics, steel and the agri-food industries.

In his discussions with several representatives of companies present at the fair, the President of the Republic welcomed the progress made by the national industrial sector, in particular the increase in the integration rate in recent years, emphasizing the willingness of public authorities to engage in the solutions and innovations proposed by start-ups.

The President of the Republic also stopped at the pavilion of military industry companies under the Ministry of National Defense (MDN), which distinguished themselves, as usual, by new high-quality and technological products, where he inquired about the latest achievements of these pioneering companies in the field of weapons manufacturing, such as the sniper rifle of 100% Algerian design and the drone system, like the “Saqr al Jazaïr 1” aircraft.

This Fair was an opportunity for the President of the Republic to announce Algeria’s commitment to building field hospitals for the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, in order to provide assistance to medical teams and enable them to treat the wounded, in the midst of the war of extermination waged by the Zionist entity against the enclave.
