Members of the Algerian community abroad take advantage of the summer season to plan their vacation in Algeria. An opportunity to see their families again and discover their country, after several months of absence and travel abroad.
For their part, Algerian airlines and maritime companies have launched promotions and offers allowing diaspora members to spend the summer in Algeria without worrying about the budget to spend.

The Algerian authorities expect a massive arrival of diaspora members to spend the summer holidays in Algeria, particularly because of the facilitations announced by the government to welcome this community.
Promotions and multiple price ranges, notably the Osra and Watani offer, but also the improvement of airport services, contribute to the increase in arrivals in Algeria during this summer season. In this wake, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, in this case, Djamel Eddine Abdelghani, gave an estimate of the number of members of the diaspora who plan to travel on the national territory this summer.
Indeed, speaking on national radio, this official estimates their number at around 3,464,000 people. To enable the transport of these travelers, 16,581 flights will be operated from June 1 to September 30, 2024.
Furthermore, this program provides for 932 connections per week, including 492 weekly flights, which will be carried out by Air Algérie and Tassili Airlines and the rest of this quota (namely 431 operations) will be shared by foreign air carriers.
