The National Gendarmerie services in Oran have dismantled international criminal networks specializing in organizing clandestine crossings, thus preventing several attempts at clandestine migration.

The same services explained in a press release that these operations were possible thanks to the intensification of investigations and the optimal exploitation of information, which made it possible to put in place a careful plan leading to the monitoring of activities and locations. presence of members of these networks through checkpoints, searches, and raids across all accesses and axes, as well as the places of their activities.

The operations resulted in the arrest of 72 individuals, including 13 of Moroccan nationality and 13 of Syrian nationality.

They also made it possible to seize 3 pleasure boats equipped with engines of different powers, a jet-ski, a utility vehicle, a tourist car, a motorcycle, a sum of money of 83,000 DA, 6,050 euros, and 768 dollars, 23 jerrycans of fuel of 30 liters each, a compass, passports, and cell phones.

After completing all the necessary legal procedures, the individuals involved were presented to the competent judicial authorities.
