In his meeting with Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, President Xi stated that Beijing is eager to further develop the strategic partnership between China and Morocco. This meeting, held under the guidance of King Mohammed VI, underscores Morocco’s significant role on the international stage.

Economically, Morocco has emerged as a key strategic partner for China in Africa, especially through the Belt and Road Initiative.

President Xi highlighted that both nations have seen their relations grow, with increasingly dynamic exchanges.

In 2016, Xi noted, King Mohammed VI made a state visit to China where they had fruitful discussions, elevating China-Morocco relations to a new level.

Thursday’s brief yet significant meeting reflects a shared vision of cooperation, enhancing the global standing of both countries.
