Today, Monday, August 5, the military exercise “Mysterious Thunder 24” will begin, with the participation of 300 soldiers from the forces of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Germany and Morocco.
Col. Patrick Moffett, commander of Multi-Domain Task Force II, said in a statement from U.S. Africa and European Command that the military exercise will aim to allow joint forces to operate freely in the U.S. European Command theater of operations.
The Mysterious Thunder exercises, which run until August 16, follow the success of the African Lion exercises, as they aim to improve the military capabilities of the participating countries and strengthen cooperation, understanding, and coordination among them to face common challenges.
