WAM Morocco 2025 will highlight advanced manufacturing, sustainable practices, next-generation logistics, and AI innovation to propel industrial growth.
KAOUN International, the creator of GITEX, is launching WAM Morocco 2025 with the concerted support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE).
The World Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Expo & Summit (WAM Morocco) will make its debut in Casablanca, aiming to push Morocco’s thriving manufacturing industry towards next-generation sectors.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, along with its strategic partners, the CGEM and AMDIE.
WAM Morocco aims to diversify the country’s industrial base, encourage the emergence of new sectors, and enhance capacity development for sustainable growth.
Scheduled from October 28 to 30, 2025, at the Casablanca International Fair (FIC), WAM Morocco is organized by KAOUN International, the organizer behind GITEX GLOBAL – the world’s largest and most influential tech and AI exhibition, as well as GITEX Africa in Morocco – the continent’s premier tech and startup event.
Morocco builds upon a solid foundation in the automotive and aerospace sectors, bolstered by initiatives like the Fez Smart Factory and the National Port Strategy 2030, with a budget of $600 million. These initiatives have attracted significant foreign investment.
Morocco has become the leading non-European automotive exporter to Europe. It also holds a significant position in the aerospace sector, with exports amounting to $2.2 billion, serving major clients like Boeing and Airbus. Recent advances in manufacturing and logistics have put Morocco in the international spotlight as it gears up to host WAM Morocco.
The Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, praised this initiative, stating, “WAM Morocco represents a significant milestone in Morocco’s journey to become one of the foremost hubs for advanced manufacturing in Africa and worldwide. Participating in this event highlights our nation’s commitment to innovation, economic resilience, and industrial leadership. By bringing together global and local expertise, we create an environment where technological innovation and sustainable practices can thrive, driving our country and the continent towards a prosperous, technology-driven future.”
Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, organizer of WAM Morocco and GITEX Africa, commented, “WAM Morocco is a strategic and powerful move for Morocco, accelerating the country’s and the continent’s prominence in high-tech industries and providing unprecedented access to global technological capabilities. By gathering the best in innovation, investment, and collaboration, WAM Morocco is set to spark a new wave of industrial revolution in Africa, paving the way for accelerated growth on the global stage.”
An Ambitious Program to Support Industrial Transformation
WAM Morocco aims to be a catalyst for Morocco’s vision to become a sustainable and competitive manufacturing hub on the international stage. The expo will showcase the latest innovations in manufacturing and next-generation technologies like AI, quantum computing, 3D printing, blockchain, and mixed reality. Key events include WAP (World Advanced Packing, Printing, and Plastic Technologies), WARM (World Advanced Rubber & Metal Industrial Technologies), and WASIM (World Advanced Sustainable Manufacturing), each dedicated to promoting innovation and excellence in their field.
Leveraging the successes of Moroccan industry, WAM Morocco aspires to solidify the country’s position as a leader in advanced manufacturing, relying on AI, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable practices. The event will foster public-private partnerships, attract foreign investment, and encourage local capacity building. The aim is to create a lasting economic impact and strengthen Morocco’s role as a driver of sustainable high-tech industry in Africa.
Chakib Alj, President of the CGEM, expressed his support by emphasizing the importance of public-private collaboration: “This event goes beyond a mere exhibition; it’s a crucial platform for Moroccan businesses, especially SMEs, to expand internationally, collaborate with global innovation leaders, and establish partnerships that will accelerate our industrial development. By bringing together local startups and large companies with international pioneers, we are laying the groundwork for sustainable growth, increased competitiveness, and enhanced economic resilience. We fully support this initiative and anticipate significant economic benefits for Morocco and Africa as a whole.”
