Tunisia: Towards the Introduction of Holiday Bank Loans!

The authorities have finally understood that the promotion of tourism necessarily involves local tourism. It is in this sense that new programs intended to promote local tourism among Tunisians are underway.

Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Mohamed Moez Belhassine announced that bank loans will soon be granted to finance holidays, but also trips by Tunisians, particularly to destinations within the country.

It should be noted that many countries opt for this type of banking solution to finance the travel of their citizens.

What is a holiday credit?

These credits can also cover leisure costs and excursions, the minister added. This announcement comes as part of a whole program to promote local tourism, in addition to the exceptional rates.

In any case, the challenge today is to reconcile the Tunisian with his tourism and to revitalize all aspects of local tourism even in high season and no longer consider it as a life jacket in the event of a shipwreck.

Tourism is the sector most impacted and damaged by the coronavirus crisis. Several hotel units have closed, while in several regions local tourism has somehow saved the season.
