Tunisian head of government Ahmed Hachani will make a four-day visit to South Korea to attend the Korea-Africa summit.
This is what emerges from a press release from the Prime Ministry published on Sunday, specifying that this visit is part of the first Korea-Africa summit, which will be held in Seoul under the theme: “The future that we let’s create together: Shared growth, sustainability, and solidarity”.
โThis summit aims to strengthen cooperation with the African continent and consolidate political and economic ties between African countries and Korea, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, renewable energy, and digitalization,โ detailed the press release.
And added, “the head of government Ahmed Hachani will lead a delegation composed of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, and the Minister of Economy and Planning, Feryel Ouerghi.
Many African countries including Mauritania, Rwanda, Namibia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Guinea Bissau, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and Liberia will participate in this summit.
In 2022, the trade volume between South Korea and Africa reached nearly $20.45 billion, accounting for 1.4 percent of total Korean trade.
