A Tunisian plane loaded with 13 tons of humanitarian aid for the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip took off on November 13 from the El Aouina military base in Tunis towards El Arich airport in Egypt, announced the Tunis Afrique Presse press agency.
The humanitarian aid includes medicines and medical equipment, wheelchairs, 10,000 ready-to-eat meals, baby milk, blankets and other products. This is Tunisia’s second humanitarian aid flight for residents of the Gaza Strip, the first having been sent on October 15.

The catastrophic situation in Gaza
On the 38th day of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Gaza Strip was subjected to intense bombardments which destroyed hundreds of buildings and left more than 11,000 dead.
Hundreds of injured people risk dying due to power outages, and lack of fuel and medicine, Mai Al-Kaila, Palestinian Minister of Health, announced on November 12.
The minister indicated that the inhabitants of the enclave are deprived of water, food, and security and called on international human rights organizations to intervene to allow access to medical aid to hospitals.
The situation in the Gaza Strip has worsened since October 7 when the IDF began shelling the enclave in response to a massive Hamas attack that left around 1,200 dead on the Israeli side.
