The President of the Republic praised the role of the organization and recalled the circumstances of its creation, comparing them to those in which the International Labor Organization was created in 1919, following the First World War, in under a clause of the Treaty of Versailles, before becoming a specialized agency under the United Nations.
In this context, Saïed underlined that the Arab Labor Organization was created in the sixties of the last century, within the framework of the Arab national movement, aiming to achieve real social justice to which the Arab people aspired. And to emphasize that young people in the Arab world constitute an inexhaustible wealth and that it is enough to provide them with an appropriate legislative framework so that they no longer think about migration, whether legal or illegal.
For his part, the Director General of the Arab Labor Organization declared, in a video published on the official page of the Presidency of the Republic, that he had discussed with the President, Kais Saïed, issues relating to the Arab world in general and to Tunisia in particular in addition to joint Arab action, according to Tap.
The official praised the interest given by the Head of State to the Arab question and his victory for Tunisia and its youth, as well as his concern to create opportunities for all categories of society, indicating that this is at the heart the organization’s work, commending the ideas discussed during the interview, particularly with regard to joint Arab action to ensure a future for young people in the Arab world.
