The press release did not mention the reasons for this revocation.

On December 20, 2021, Nizar Slimane was appointed Director General of ONTT, placed under the supervision of the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.

He had previously held the position of representative of the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism in the Austrian capital Vienna in 2015, in Poland in 2002, in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1998. He was also representative of the ONTT in Rome in 2005 and in the Gulf and the Middle East in 1996.

Since the start of 2023, Saïed has dismissed a number of ministers. These dismissals began on January 7, with the dismissal of the Minister of Trade and Export Development, Fadhila Rabhi Ben Hamza.

On the 30th of the same month, the Head of State carried out a reshuffle by putting an end to the functions of the Ministers of Education, Fethi Sellaouti, and of Agriculture, Mahmoud Elias Hamza.

On February 7, Saïed dismissed the head of Tunisia’s diplomacy, Othman Jerandi, who had retained his post since his appointment to the previous government led by Hichem Mechichi in 2020.

On the 23rd of the same month, the president dismissed the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Nasreddine Nsibi, who was also the spokesperson for the government of Najla Bouden.

On March 8, 2022, Saïed had accepted the first resignation in the government led by Najla Bouden, presented by Aida Hamdi, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, in charge of Cooperation international.

At the beginning of May, the Tunisian president terminated the functions of the Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, Neila Nouira Gongi, without giving any explanation for this decision.

On August 1, 2023, President Kaïs Saïed dismissed Prime Minister Najla Bouden. No explanation was given for the departure of the one who had been in office since 2021. Saïed appointed Ahmed Hachani, retired from the Central Bank of Tunisia, in his place.
