The Tunisian President, Kaïs Saïed, received Saturday, at the Palace of Carthage, the Head of Government, Najla Bouden.
This is what emerges from a press release published by the Presidency of the Republic and taken up by the official agency Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP).
During this meeting, Saïed returned to “his participation in the Summit between the European Union and the African Union on February 17 and 18, in Brussels, where he tried to explain to world leaders the truth about the latest developments in Tunisia”.
“The Tunisian president has accused his opponents of spreading untruths about the situation in Tunisia,” TAP reported.
And Saïed explain that “the objective of the creation of a provisional Superior Council of the magistrature is to establish equality before the law for all Tunisians”, evoking at the same time, the reasons for the exceptional measures, announced on July 25, 2021.
The President of the Republic said he was determined to return the stolen money and to meet “the aspirations of Tunisians in terms of employment, freedom and dignity”.
