The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received, this Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Carthage Palace, the Italian Ambassador to Tunis, Lorenzo Fanara, on the occasion of the end of his missions in Tunisia.
The Head of State hailed “the solidity of the historical ties of friendship between Tunisia and Italy, and the level of cooperation between the two countries, in many areas”, reports the presidency in a press release.
He said the determination of our country “to give a stronger impetus to the bilateral relations, in accordance with new visions and conceptions at the service of the interest of the two Tunisian and Italian peoples”.
The Italian ambassador, for his part, expressed his “gratitude” for the support he found throughout his work in Tunisia, and reiterated “his country’s attachment to its privileged relations with Tunisia, and its determination to strengthen and diversify them further”.
