Exports of Tunisia’s manufacturing industries increased by 13.9% during the first eight months of 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Industry said on Monday, October 2, 2023. of innovation (Apii).
As a result, the trade deficit of the industrial sector narrowed, going from -7,425.5 million dinars (MDT) during the first 8 months of 2022 to -2,827.1 MTD during the same period of 2023, adds the Apii.
Apii also indicated that investments declared in the industrial sector recorded an increase of 19.7% at the end of August 2023, reaching 1,601.3 MTD against 1,338.3 MTD at the same period of the year. last.

Likewise, investments declared in the totally exporting industry increased by 19.8% to 679.4 MTD. Reported investments in regional development also increased by 30.6%.
