The American ambassador to Tunisia made these remarks during a visit to Novation City in Sousse, as reported by the American embassy in Tunisia, on Thursday, September 11, 2024.
The two companies recently signed a partnership agreement providing for the sale and delivery of at least 60 Tunisian-made robots to the United States. “This partnership highlights the high quality and competitiveness of Tunisian engineering and technology in the US market and highlights the vast potential for new avenues of collaboration and knowledge sharing between our two countries,” said Ambassador Joey Hood who, during a visit to the headquarters of Enova Robotics, also had the opportunity to talk in a fun way with the first Tunisian robot Next Guard ready to leave for the United States.
“Congratulations to Enova Robotics for showcasing Tunisia’s innovative entrepreneurial spirit on the global stage,” the American ambassador wrote on social media, stressing that “this is another great example of how “Tunisian innovation is making waves around the world.”
Next Guard mobile security robots have already been used successfully in Tunisia during the COVID-19 epidemic for remote monitoring.
