The investments required for the implementation of the green hydrogen roadmap in Tunisia are estimated at around 120 billion euros.
These investments are programmed based on a scenario of capacities and production volumes to reach 8.3 million tonnes equivalent of hydrogen and PtX products.
Initial investments during the 2025-2030 period are focused in particular on the construction of renewable energy capacities in the south and the production of green ammonia in Gabรจs for the local fertilizer market.
The cost of H2V infrastructure includes the construction of gas pipelines and compressor stations (redeveloped), water pipelines including pumping and desalination systems, H2 storage, etc.
Investments will mainly come from abroad, the planned sources are the EU as well as other multilateral institutions.
