Travel: The 10 Best Places to Visit to Discover Algeria

ยท Algeria continues to feature in travel guide recommendations as a tourist destination to discover

ยท Lonely Planet has selected 10 places to visit in Algeria to discover the country fully

ยท According to the travel guide, things are changing regarding tourism in Algeria

Now that Algeria is beginning to show its tourist assets to the world, albeit timidly, the riches of its vast territory are no longer a secret. The proof is that the largest country in Africa appears in the lists of the largest tour operators and international travel media.

With an underdeveloped tourism sector, Algeria does not attract enough foreign tourists to make it a must-see destination in the region.

However, the country is full of attractions and things to do. In addition, it is one of the few destinations that has remained safe from overtourism, which currently gives it a major advantage, especially since the current trend is much more focused on off-the-beaten-track destinations.

” Things are changing “

Foreign tourists who find a way to discover this vast North African country also leave satisfied, both in terms of the discovery and the relationships they develop with the locals.

Thanks to new travel trends and the country’s opening – even relative – to foreign visitors, more and more international media and tour operators are interested in Algeria as a tourist destination. This has been the case, recently, with the very famous Lonely Planet travel guide.

After praising Algeria in numerous articles and reports, the guide published a list of ten places to discover the best of the country at the end of July. From the outset, the guide recalls that until recently, Algeria was one of the most difficult countries to visit in the world.

” But things are changing, with tourist visas becoming easier to obtain,” the same source said.

In addition to its 1,600 m long coastline, lined with long sandy beaches and dotted with towns rich in history, Algeria also offers a fantastic desert hinterland with authentic oasis towns, vast expanses of sand, and ancient volcanic mountains.

Here are the ten emblematic places to discover the best of the country, selected by Lonely Planet.
